Eagle Heights Woods Fundraiser - Thank you

Picture
At the Friends 2015 Annual Meeting on Annual 7, Sue Denholm urged members to be “Part of the Story of Eagle Heights Woods” and Peter Fisher attached ‘milestones’ of success to the fundraising campaign tree. Early donors had provided more than half of the total amount by April. More than one-third of the Friends 300 plus members followed the strong lead of these donors to exceed the goal of $135,000 this July. The Friends is immensely pleased to provide the essential financial investment to rejuvenate Eagle Heights Woods over a period of 5 years. We are truly fortunate to have such loyal and generous members and supporters of the Preserve.

In fall 2014, the co-chairs of the Friends Fundraising Committee, Sue Denholm, Peter Fisher and Gisela Kutzbach, developed a strategic plan and coordinated efforts with Preserve staff and the UW Foundation  Throughout spring of 2015, a Friends team of communicators, graphic designers, networkers, visionaries and organizers worked enthusiastically and successfully toward the goal. Thank you all for this amazing effort.
2015. We have reached and exceeded our goal of  $135,000
to fund the 5-year Management Plan developed by University of Wisconsin-Madison Preserve Staff for rejuvenating the Eagle Heights Woods.
With your help, and in collaboration with the UW Preserve staff and the UW Foundation, this plan is becoming reality. THANK YOU. Additional contributions will be applied to future phases of the Eagle Heights Woods rejuvenation project.

For further details, view the Fundraiser Brochure and the Eagle Heights Woods webpage on this site.
