Support the 2014 Garlic Mustard Challenge – Pledge and Pull

THANK YOU
Thanks to our enthusiastic supporters, the 2014 Garlic Mustard Challenge has been a big success. As of May 7, the Friends have raised a total $1615.00  that will now be put to good use for restoration work in the Preserve.

We thank especially those who contributed through pledges and through pulling. On April 26, 14 volunteers gathered for two hours on a sunny afternoon in Eastern Bill's Woods to pull garlic mustard, about 6" inches high, and stuff it into black garbage bags. Bryn Scriver of the Preserve supervised the event. Participants were Friends, friends of Friends, and students of the Sustainability Office. A special treat awaited them afterwards - yummy Garlic Mustard quiche and pesto, brownies, and refreshments. If you missed out on the fun, you can still pull garlic mustard on one of the drop-in volunteer days.
